Canadian artist Joan Cahill’s beautiful and layered images celebrate the beauty of the natural world. By combining dozens of separate photographs into a dazzling and expressive mixture the viewer is invited to share in the wonder and appreciation of a new and magical world.
Joan’s skills and experience in photography, graphic design and abstract landscape painting provide the foundation to build these sometimes opulent, sometimes restrained, yet always beautiful images.
Wonder, abundance, mystery, nature, growth and beauty are the constant watchwords of her practice.
An honours graduate of the Emily Carr University of Art and Design, Joan’s professional design awards include Graphic Designers of Canada Creative Awards for photo illustrations and BC Transit Awards of Excellence for Innovation in BC Transit's re-branding project.
